Mine akademiske interesser er hovedsaklig logiske kalkyler, bevisteori, matematisk logikk, kompleksitetsteori, cellulære automater, kombinatorikk og matematikkfilosofi, men jeg er også interessert i algoritmisk kunst, grafikk og visualisering. Min doktorgradsavhandling handler om sekventkalkyler for førsteordens logikk med frie variabler.
Det som har vært i fokus i forskningen min, har vært en metode som kalles variabel-splitting. Dette er en metode som er anvendbar på fri-variabel-tablå, fri-variabel-sekventkalkyler, «connection»-metoder, og matrisekarakteriseringer, som reduserer overflødigheter i søkerommet ved å utnytte et forhold mellom forgrenende formler og universelle formler. Ved å bruke kontekstuell informasjon til å skille mellom forekomster av frie variabler, kan metoden brukes til å tilordne forskjellige verdier til disse forekomstene på en konsistent måte.
